System Components:

The newly designed compact Darkroom hood has a small footprint: 40 cm width and 52 cm depth. It is only 45 cm high. The lift-up flap ensures light-tightness and enables free access to the transilluminator from three sides. This eases potential preparative work and cleaning remarkably and is a special characteristic of the HeroDoc system.
Epi illumination by double short wave (254 nm) or long wave (365 nm) UV radiation is a standard feature in this hood, as well as white light.

High sensitive, Progressive Scan Interline CCD camera type B-786-1U5N
Chip size: 848,677 pixels, active resolution according to Sony specification:
1024x768 = 786,432 pixels, system default setting: 1024 gray scales (=10 bit)
When using the HDR functions gray scales can be enhanced gradually to 16 bit for high dynamic images with up to 65,535 (2¹⁶) gray scales. Optionally, instead of this monochrome a color camera can be delivered without surcharge.
Distortion-free 2/3” Mega Pixel lens with software controlled motorized adjustment of sharpness and aperture; exposure time from 10 milliseconds to 60 minutes (0.01 – 3600 sec.); Herolab DNA filter with transmission of over 90 % for Ethidium Bromide. The filter is freely accessible and can be interchanged easily. Optionally available is a filter wheel in manual or motorized version.

The built-in UV-Transilluminator contains the new, high-value HC (high contrast) filter with the main peak of 312 (302) nm mid wave UV radiation in a size of 28 x 22 cm.
Intensity switch is standard equipment.
