Basic Gel Documentation Systems

The MiniDoc and MidiDoc systems are most compact solutions for gel imaging and are the outcome of Herolab’s long experience in gel documentation. Completely new is the Herolab scientific grade CCD camera type B-1393-3U7N with 1,4 Mio. pixels and 12 bit. It allows the binning function 2 x 2 or 4 x 4 which results in 4-times or 16-times higher sensitivity.
 

The two systems in comparison:

The image capture and storage software E.A.S.Y® Win32 Module A plus accomplishes an exposure time from “live” up to one hour. The image can subsequently be stored in various file formats on the internal hard drive of the unit, in a PC network or on a USB stick.

  Monochrome camera with 1,4 Mio. pixels, On-Chip Integration,                                            
  Binning function 2 x 2 and 4 x 4, this means:                                                                             
  4-times or 16-times higher sensitivity
  complete with:
  -  MiniDoc: Light-sensitive lens, ½“, 8,5 mm, f 1:1,5
  -  MidiDoc: Light-sensitive zoom lens, ½’’, 8-48 mm, f 1:1,0 and
  -  Special set of filters for ethidium bromide applications
    (DNA- and UV-filters, adapter ring and close-up lens)
   
• Darkroom hood
  - MiniDoc: RH-1 with bottom
  - MidiDoc: RH-2 without bottom
  - with two light-tight doors
  - Switches for UV transilluminator, and epi white light on the front panel
   
• Image Capture and Storage software:
  - Hero Store software – see special brochure                                                                                                                             
    to be preferred with Touch screen monitor and PC combination or
  - E.A.S.Y® Win32 software Module A plus with GLP conformity                                                                
    to be selected with normal High Power Windows-PC
