Versions and closure system
AOR stands for Advanced Oak Ridge. The tubes use a screw cap, triple compression ring, conical sealing plug and O-ring. Nominal volumes of 10, 30, 50 and 80 ml are listed in PC, PPCO, PE or PF; filling volumes and load limits vary by catalogue number.
Rotor compatibility
Check the outside diameter, length, adapter and closure for the intended rotor. The catalogue compatibility list is a selection aid, not a blanket approval for every rotor. Listed speed and RCF values apply to the specific version and test conditions.
Material versions
Representative versions. Dimensions, filling volume and closure depend on the catalogue number. Click an image to enlarge.
Materials and reuse
Chemical resistance depends on the plastic, sample medium, concentration and temperature. PC is sensitive to many organic solvents and alkaline solutions; PE is not autoclavable.
For PPCO, PC and PF, the catalogue specifies 20 minutes at 121 °C and 103 kPa. Remove closures completely before autoclaving. Repeated autoclaving can reduce mechanical strength. Check vessels for cracks and deformation before each use; do not reuse damaged vessels. Closures and seals are subject to their own material requirements.
