Versions and selection
Depending on the catalogue number, centrifuge bottles are available in nominal volumes from 200 to 1,000 ml. The range includes PC, PPCO, PE, PF and selected PP versions. Base shape, closure, dimensions and filling volume vary by article.
Bottle, closure and rotor
Selection depends on rotor cavity dimensions, bottle dimensions, base shape and any required support rings or base cushions. Observe the exclusions for specific rotors listed in the catalogue. There is no universal approval for rotors from other manufacturers.
Listed speed and RCF values apply to the specific combination. Versions with a 70-mm opening are described on the separate wide-neck bottles page.

Materials and reuse
Chemical resistance depends on the plastic, sample medium, concentration and temperature. PC is sensitive to many organic solvents and alkaline solutions; PE is not autoclavable.
For PPCO, PC and PF, the catalogue specifies 20 minutes at 121 °C and 103 kPa. Remove closures completely before autoclaving. Repeated autoclaving can reduce mechanical strength. Check vessels for cracks and deformation before each use; do not reuse damaged vessels. Closures and seals are subject to their own material requirements.
