UV-C lamps for application-specific microbial reduction
Herolab offers UV-C lamps with ozone-free 254 nm tubes for irradiating air and directly exposed surfaces. Effectiveness depends on factors including the microorganism, irradiance, distance, and exposure time. Shadowed areas are not directly irradiated; a general guarantee of sterility cannot be inferred.
LK series and options
- LK-15, LK-30, and LK-55: Single-tube versions: 1 × 15 W, 1 × 30 W, and 1 × 55 W, respectively.
- LK-60 and LK-110: Two-tube versions: 2 × 30 W and 2 × 55 W, respectively.
- R versions: Reflector versions for LK-15, LK-30, and LK-55.
- C or RC: Remote-control versions, with a reflector depending on the model.
The watt ratings refer to tube power, not the UV dose delivered to the target. The product overview includes model-specific dimensions and irradiation data.
Mounting and ordering
Depending on the setup, wall or ceiling mounting or use with a rolling stand is possible. The rolling stand must be ordered separately. Please specify the room or target surface, mounting arrangement, distance, and desired controls so that the appropriate configuration can be assessed.
Supplied items and separately ordered accessories
According to the catalog, a wall-mounting kit is included. The ceiling suspension kit (29 55 850) and rolling stand must be ordered separately. The maximum stand height stated in the catalog is 1.80 m. C versions have remote control without a reflector; RC versions combine remote control and a reflector and are listed for LK-15, LK-30, and LK-55. No R or RC version is listed in the catalog for LK-60 or LK-110.
Safety and application conditions
Open UV-C irradiation can injure eyes and skin. No one may be present in the irradiation area during operation. Access control, shielding, and any required interlocks must be established in accordance with the operating instructions and the workplace risk assessment. Remote control alone does not replace these measures.
UV-C can alter sensitive plastics and coatings. Check material compatibility. UV irradiation does not automatically replace cleaning or other required hygiene measures.
